Ang joined the Young Foundation in January 2021 as Peer Research Lead, supporting our growing National Peer Research Network and strategy, and she supports a number of ICS projects.  Ang brings her experiences in leading a peer research network and training programme for Fulfilling Lives Newcastle Gateshead (FLNG) where she was research and evaluation lead, training and developing Experts by Experience in peer research skills through accredited learning and development, and ensuring learning influenced and shaped the focus of the programme supported by lived experience evidence.

Prior to FLNG Ang led a Department of Health funded programme of work with Older People’s Advocacy Alliance, Older People’s Cancer Voices, before becoming their deputy CEO.  She has worked for a range of voluntary sector organisations and funders, in advocacy, capacity building and research roles, and she volunteers with two local community based projects on parental mental health.
